Operations Manager - Midland, TX

8Sigma Energy Services is the pioneer of unlimited stage, intervention-less fracturing and we provide technology‐based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world.  We are currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to join the team in Midland, TX
 
Primary Role Focus
The Wellsite Systems Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate operation of 8Sigma systems and equipment.  This role is given significant responsibility and is tasked with the smooth and accurate execution of various field jobs, from deployment of equipment to data acquisition and submission. The Wellsite Systems Engineer will have a major impact on customer satisfaction ensuring our equipment is installed accurately, efficiently and safely.  
 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Verify shipments to client locations against sales proposal and perform a quality check on all tools, parts and equipment
  • Upon arrival at client’s location, coordinate with Company Representative to verify project timings, expectations and identify factors, actual or potential, that may impact service quality.
  • Complete ongoing updates to field reports and other documentation (job reports, schematics, field tickets, job hazards analysis report, etc.) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate meetings to train and inform crews on 8Sigma tools, procedures, standards and operational plans
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding to figure up displacements, capacities, buoyancies, and pressures and record on schematics and reports, Identify and know basic threads on location
  • 8Sigma procedures to be followed for each job.
  • Follow Safety culture by reinforcing and following safety procedures and protocols
  • Coach and assist crews as projects are being installed and operated to ensure operational excellence
  • Identifying safety concerns as they occur and resolve promptly
  • Collaborate with client and crews to ensure project is performing efficiently.
  • Document and immediately inform the Service Center as quality or technical problems arise
  • Document and immediately inform the Service Center and Sales Team if a problem with the sales proposal is identified
  • Build relationships and enhance customer intimacy by ensuring a superior level of client satisfaction is achieved and maintained
  • Provide support and assistance in the facility when not in the field
  • Complete required tool training
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the Regional Operations Manager
  • Other duties as required by management
 
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years in downhole application or equivalent qualifying experience
  • Previous experience in a field and shop environment
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience
  • Native Mechanical Aptitude
  • Competent in Hydraulics, Statics and Dynamics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Approx. 75%  travel will be required
Education and Training
  • Engineering Degree
  • Physical, Business and Safety Requirements
  • Compliance with 8Sigma Health and Safety Program
  • Safety Sensitive
    • Subject to pre-employment medical assessment
  • Subject to pre-employment, post incident, random and reasonable cause drug and alcohol testing
  • Annual safety training
  • Significant use of computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods
  • Some heavy lifting may be required
  • First Aid, CPR, OSHA , Safe land, Benzene and H2S
  • Ongoing visits to field locations in all weather conditions
  • Rotating 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Operate company vehicle in long distance travel, equipment, and self in a safe manner at all times
  • Defensive driving
